With healthy eating becoming increasingly more popular (and more expensive), it's becoming harder and harder to find a good healthy spot for a decent price. Counter Culture is located just off Grafton Street on the top floor of powerscourt.
On arrival; we were greeted with a lovely surprise with the waitress telling us they had a special menu for Trinity students. The menu consists of a range of lunch options, all basically half price from the original menu.
We ordered the soup from the student menu, which was a hearty butternut squash and sweet potato served with a slice of brown bread. For €3, it would be hard to find the same price and quality anywhere else!
We also ordered the sweet potato with chicken and scrambled eggs from the main menu. The meal was delicious and although it was more expensive at €12, it was a very generous and filling portion. We ordered two sides of sweet potatoes, at €2 on the student menu you won't find a bargain like that anywhere else! (Believe us, we've almost tried them everywhere).
For drinks we got a strawberry smoothie which was lovely and light and a green detox juice. At €4.50, they were quite reasonably priced.
If you're a Trinity student and stuck for lunch, this is definitely the place for you. You won't find anywhere this healthy, delicious, and well priced in the Dublin city centre!
