FARMER BROWNS
Apologies for yet another brunch post but this one just couldn't be missed. Farmer Browns is located near Grand Canal Dock, a hidden spot with amazing food.
They serve breakfast, brunch and dinner and are open every day. We were seated at a table in the heated outdoor area, and ordered coffees before our meal. Although it's usually hard to get really good coffee in a busy restaurant, we were seriously impressed.
We got 3 dishes from the brunch/lunch menu. The breakfast salad (which is far from your usual salad), the brunch burger and the club sandwich.
The salad, which is probably the only acceptable salad to have when you're hungover, was filled with sausages, bacon, pudding, egg and toast. Unlike your regular fry, it wasn't drowning in grease and wouldn't leave you feeling overwhelmed. We got sweet potato fries as an addition on the side and although it probably wasn't needed, we feel sweet potato fries are always necessary!
The brunch burger couldn't be faulted. A huge portion, delicious parmesan fries and great value for money at €15. Same goes for the club sandwich which had a seriously generous amount of chicken, fresh toppings and even a poached egg on the side.
Overall, Farmer Browns exceeded our expectations with its amazing coffee, great service and delicious food. What makes it even better is the restaurant's dog, Scone, to keep you company while you wait for your food!
